Since, for Dolias, traditional Freudian view of dream often falls short to explain the experiences of bad-dreams, psychoanalysts need to add an existential dimension with Bosss theoretical approach path to dream, as he says, I also intendto bring experience and theory closer together, to allow for a seminal interaction between theory, Heideggers philosophy, my views and experiences (Dolias, 2010, p. 238). According Dolias, the difference between Freud and Jungs psychoanalytical view and Bosss approach is while the psychoanalytical approach considers dream s as masked unconscious message and consequently appears to be misleading, the second one asserts that bad dreams are the illumination of ones experience of creation (Dolias, 2010, p. 239). Rather than being a subject-object interrelation, the process of being itself is the dreaming reality of an individual. Here Dolias elaborates Bosss idea further to apply in his patients Marthas case. He notes that since Martha had an anxiety about something ominous in her journey, she would view it in her dream because in dreams her anxious being force out reveal itself to the fullest. It further implies that her dreaming self is essentially her anxious being, which remains away in her waking state. This dreaming self of Martha basically refers to Heideggers Dasein.
